Case Study: Designing for Medical device Manufacturers

In the medical device development ecosystem, key players are many: hospitals, doctors, clinics, device development professionals, all need to work together and build a well coordinated process to achieve their most important goal, provide successful devices for improved care to patients.

Co-design to help solve some of the challenges related to sharing medical device knowledge. We helped visualize critical steps of the robotic device manual of instructions (IFU) and illustrated it for the professional education unit.

Medical device companies goals is to ensure successful device adoption. Teams strive to provide education covering technical and usage aspects, with the goal of educating both sales representatives and surgeons about the product, enabling surgeons to make informed decisions.

As information designers and medical illustrators, we could contribute to the training of sales representatives and surgeons, creating effective educational materials.

The illustrations needed to fit well with the client’s brand colors, and nice additions have been to turn graphics into short video explainers.
