Case Study: How FOR Launched a Dental Education Platform with a Professional Medical Illustration and Scientific Visualization Assets Library

The Foundation for Oral Rehabilitation (FOR.org), a non-profit organization advocating science, education, and humanity in oral rehabilitation, set out with a goal to empower more clinicians to embrace superior-quality treatments — from routine to guidelines — and enhance oral rehabilitation for patients across the globe.

The Foundation identified early in their ideation phase a critical need for high-quality medical illustrations for their brand-new continuing education platform. This is when we entered the picture and helped address the need for precise, engaging, and anatomically accurate visuals and provided the transformative impact in dental education they needed.

The challenge

Our medical illustration services essentially needed to help FOR create evidence-based visual content for their clinical guidelines, allowing practitioner decision-making through scientific visualization. The educational modules were launched gradually, which gave us the chance to focus on each subject at a time and deliver both timely and consistently.

The benefits of our professional medical and scientific illustration and our production approach have been visible since the start:

  • We created a consistent visual language across scientific content

  • We provided expert-validated anatomical accuracy

  • We helped with multi-platform compatible medical artwork

  • The overall library of reusable medical illustrations has proven to be cost-effective

Implementation

Initial Investment: While creating a comprehensive medical illustration library requires upfront investment, it provides long-term value through reusable scientific visuals.

Development Timeline: Our specialized medical illustration process ensures efficient delivery without compromising anatomical accuracy.

Technology Integration: Our scientific illustrations work seamlessly across all digital platforms.

With no initial upfront investment, but with a carefully monthly planned budget, our medical illustration team developed a comprehensive visual resource library:

  • Anatomically accurate medical artwork

  • Scientific animation sequences

  • Flexible illustration components

  • Digital-optimized scientific visuals

From one website to long-term creative partner

After the successful launch, FOR decided to continue working with our team for ongoing marketing and brand support.

  • Ebook project management: We took over FOR’s ebooks creation, ebooks covers, coordinating and supervising authors contributions, revisions, and editing all content till launch.

  • Scientific Paper Design: As For prepared to publish white papers for their subscribers we is handling the executions of these, layout and visuals.

Working with Visualmedics was my best collaboration with a visual communications studio so far. They not only delivered the work for the project as requested but went one step further and actually became a part of our team long-term, advising and supporting the project with professional knowledge and creativity.
