Case Study: Designing for Biotech

A US biotech that makes testing and reagent materials for some of the industry’s leading instrument manufacturers, such as Abbott, Siemens, needed an animation capable of explaining their new product.

Scientific advancements in biotech push companies to new limits every day, making molecular engineering increasingly complex. In the biotechnology and medical device industry, 3D animations have become the primary tool for visual communication.

However, creating a simpler visual language can be more effective in guiding customers through product mechanisms and making informed purchasing decisions.

To highlight their product's unique features, the company opted for a playful 2D animation that was simple, clear, concise and recognisable. The animation was designed with the possibility of reusing its elements for future marketing materials in mind, allowing to cover every stage of the marketing funnel. The result of the partnership we’ve initiated with Streck was a valuable pool of visual assets, including a landing page, a series of LinkedIn posts, and a booklet.
